A staunch worshipper of the Fairy Queen Titania, the unnamed votaress was a friend and trusted confidante of the Fae monarch, earning her patron's affection with loyalty, kindness, and trinkets from her travels across her homeland of India.
Heavily pregnant, she eventually went into labour, giving birth to a baby boy, the son of the ruling king of India at the time. However, she did not survive childbirth, dying soon after. Her death profoundly moved Titania, who decided to adopt the baby as her own ward, leading the Fairy Queen to discreetly swap the infant for a Changeling.
Titania's unyielding defiance towards Oberon's wishes to foster the boy himself stemmed from the Queen's fondness for her consort. This led to a violent conflict between husband and wife, which was only resolved when the King of Fairyland used the potent magic of deities to bewitch Titania and force her to relinquish her hold on the boy.
