Rosemary's Husband - The Sandman: Season One

Rosemary and her husband, the father of their two children, Samantha and Sarah, were married for ten years. During this time, he was living with a big secret: he had another wife and family residing in a different city.

This revelation caused their marriage to fall apart.

Alfred - The Sandman

Working as a janitor at St Hilarion's School for Boys in December 1990, Alfred remained behind at the establishment while the rest of the student body and faculty – except for Charles Rowland, the Headmaster (Theodore) and the matron, Miss Gribble - were away for the Michaelmas holidays. There he dealt with menial chores and the upkeep of the building and grounds.

When the residents of Hell returned to Earth and began congregating at the school, the spirit of a woman and her young child chased him off into the foggy night.

Charles Rowland witnessed this event from the dormitory window, remarking it to be the last time he ever saw Alfred again.

The Adherent of The Unforgiven - The Sandman

Outliving his fellow worshippers of The Unforgiven by seven months, give or take, this adherent of Despair of the Endless eventually committed suicide, ending not only his life but also the two-year-long practices of this all but forgotten religious sect.

The Unforgiven - The Sandman

A disbanded religious denomination that deified and worshipped Despair of the Endless on the planet Earth, The Unforgiven’s history was extremely short-lived and sorrowful.

Two years after their creation, the last of their order took his own life, ending their practice. Because of this, their existence was seldom known or discussed.

Garfield Lynns - Batman: Arkham Knight

A special effects artist best known for his work on the award-winning film The Inferno, Garfield Lynns worked in Gotham's Panessa Studio under the corrupt money launderer, Tomaso Panessa. Despite his commitment and love for his work and the company, the owner of the studio unceremoniously fired him. Panessa claimed that they could no longer afford to keep him on. Enraged by his hypocrisy and duplicity, Garfield snapped, burning his former employer alive with a mouthful of nitroglycerine and a lit match.

Over the next several years, Lynns would take up the mantle of Firefly, a notorious arsonist and constant thorn in the Batman's side.
